Streptococcus

The specter of death has paid Casa del Montana a visit, at least some of us feel we wish we were dead. The lovely and talented Priscilla was diagnosed with the dreaded streptococcal bacteria, or strep throat. That leaves my lazy ass to deal with all the other duties of running the household. Tonight I have to do Scouts and soccer, as well as the dinner duties. No big deal really, it’s just out of my normal routine.
I’m trying not to feel too sorry for myself, especially when my bride is running a fever in the 103 degree range. It is rather disturbing to see the digital thermometer read 106 degrees though. Obviously the reading was a malfunction. The lovely and talented Priscilla is indeed alive but not well, just wishing she were dead.
Then there is the inevitable passing the illness around the family. It will go from Priscilla, to Baby Dax, and then to the next unlucky kid. Thankfully the doctor prescribed enough antibiotics for the entire family. Now it’s just a waiting game until I get it.
