Repaired

It took a week for me to get the part, but mission accomplished. The washing machine that was broken is now officially fixed. Although, I maintain that I am still not handy. For those of you that are interested, it was the motor coupler that was broken in my direct drive washing machine.
Evidently, this was a common problem because it was diagnosed all over the internet. It did take me a few searches to get some real help though. All the “help” sights had all these intricate instructions on getting the front cabinet off. Hell, I just went in from underneath, removed the motor, and then removed the motor coupler. The replacement part has been reinforced with a metal insert. I guess that decreases the “breakage” associated with this machine part.
After all is said and done, it’s not so much of not being handy as it is just being damned lazy. I just didn’t feel like spending an hour lying around on the ground in a puddle of water tinkering around with the damned washing machine. Some people like that sort of thing. I’m not that guy…unless I have to be.
It sure would be nice to just be able to afford to call up some guy and say, “I don’t care what it costs…just fix it.” Who am I kidding? I’m too cheap to say that. I’m almost too cheap to even type that. I don’t care how much money I have, and looking at the way this economy is moving I won’t have much money for quite a while.
I’m just glad it didn’t go the other way…I could have really fucked it up!
Just Damn!
