Distracted

The warm weather has got me thinking about starting that garden I have been thinking about. I mean a real garden too. Last year I just put a couple of tomato plants in a planter on the deck. The tomatoes were indeed awesome. But I want some snap beans and carrots and maybe some silver queen corn. It’s not like I don’t have a little more time now.
So I started with my first step, research. I figured that the more I could study up on gardening, the more successful I would be. Anyway, the more I started searching the more information I found. I stumbled from this website to that website, from this video to that video. The next thing I knew I got trapped near the inner circle of fault. Scary place that!
Anyway, I keep reading about a few of my fellow Bloggers buying up all the ammo they can. I keep reading about not being able to find ammo for very common weapons too. Other than just feeling better about having ammunition, what are they really accomplishing? What are they really going to do with all that armament? Will their puny bullets stops tanks, or pierce flak jackets? Red Dawn was just a fucking movie…fantasy. The only real enemy these hoarders of bullets can protect themselves from is me…and I got my own bullets.
What I’m trying to say is what are you really going to do? What collapse of civilization are you really protecting yourself from? Do you realize that you are so unprepared that no amount of bullets can save your sorry ass? What about food? How are you going to feed yourself?
Yes, I discovered the wonderful world of survival gardening. I don’t know if the present situation is going to lead to the end of civilization. I’m betting not. Of course, I’d better think that because I am woefully unprepared…just like you.

Dax, I am stockpiling ammo for a couple of reasons…first is that I am afraid that Obama nd the kool ade cult will tax it so much that it wil become too expensive for me to buy.
Second is that if the economy collapses totally ammo will be valuable for bartering…maybe even more so than gold. After all gold is not really good for much except to look at…ammo can be used for getting food and protecting the food from the two legged varmits.
About that garden…if I was in your area I would sure try some Kentucky wonder Pole beasn…heavy producers and don’t take up a lot of space…forty plants will provide several bushels of beans if you keep them picked…and they will keep bearing all summer in areas where it doesn’t get ungodly hot…like it does here. I usually start picking beans the last week or so of April but they burn up from the sun by the first of June.
