News Del Casa

Now that I’ve taken a few days to let my hand heal up, I can get back to regular non-Blogging. At least now, I can almost hold the guitar.
In other Casa Del Montana news, my daughter has begun her soccer season. She had to sit out the fall season because of the arm breakage. She has won her first game, always good for self esteem. The eldest has started baseball. We are busy learning the ins and outs of little league. He will have about six weeks of practice before his first game. Somehow I think this baseball thing is taken way too seriously.
The neighbor is still away in Florida. She is staying at one of her children’s homes. Whoever was ill is better now. However she has decided that the harsh north Georgia winters are too much for her. She is now going to stay in Florida for the winter and summer up here with us. At least that mystery is solved.
As for the other neighbors, they are getting divorced and selling their house. Evidently both of them have lost their jobs. He was a builder and she worked for the school system. It’s really quite sad that the economy tanked, created financial stress on their family, and caused them to lose their home. That leads to stress on the marriage and their breakup. Now their children will be raised in a broken home. The statistics on children raised in single parent homes show increases in drug use, crime, and dropout rates. Which in turn, creates further stress on an already over burdened welfare system. Damned if it ain’t cyclical.
Other than that, it’s pretty quiet at la Casa.
Just Damn!
